What does it mean to surrender to Jesus?

Surrender ~ To yield to the power of another, relinquish control.

(But do not be stiff-necked as your fathers were, but yield yourselves to the Lord… 2Chronicles 30:8)

Control ~ Power to direct or regulate.

(Now may the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God and into the patience of Christ. 2Thessalonians 3:5)

Power ~ The ability to act or produce an effect. Physical might; force or energy used to do work.

(Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing. Isaiah 40:26)

Lord ~ one having all power and authority.

(After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, he was taken up into heaven and he sat at the right hand of God. Mark 16:19)

Authority ~ One appealed to as an expert. Power to influence thought and behavior.

(And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.” Matthew 28:18)

Love ~ unselfish and loyal concern for others. To feel a passion, devotion, or tenderness for.

(And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17b,18,19)

Expert ~ showing special skill or knowledge.

(…both of the Father and of Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:2b,3)

Trust ~ Assured reliance on the character, strength or truth of someone or something.

(And those who know your name will put their trust in you; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10.)

Perfect ~ Being without fault or defect. Exact, precise, complete.

(As for God, His way is perfect; the Word of the Lord is proven… Psalm 18:30)

Daily Surrender to Jesus ~ To choose each day to relinquish control and yield to the power of the one perfect, loving, all knowledgable expert who is our Lord, God, and who we trust to influence our thoughts and behaviors, because of His perfect character, perfect strength, perfect truth, and perfect love.

I am a strong willed person. Some people say it is good, some people say it is bad. Still, after some events in my life the moment came that I was really stressed with this concept and was not able to determine what is right and what is wrong for me.
In the middle of these confusions, many mistakes were made, many situations I went through, while still not getting their meaning.
One thing I know, that while I let God be my God and learn to surrender to Him in obedience, I am happy.

About my journey to undersntand surrender I will write more soon.

Don’t stay upset with the fact that you give more than receive… This happens because God made you rich. Enjoy your heart. Only rich heart has things to give. Yes, sometimes you can get tired, feel lonely, but still, don’t upset yourself …with the fact that you give more than receive. Look at what was given to you… you will see that you received all you need to arise and move on renrewed

ANSWER.
This is a question of a God-seeking person.

As I studied theology at the seminary, we were told that God is not created. He always existed. It is difficult to understand to us, humans, who always see only limited things, with the beginning and the end.

One encouraging question still is in my mind. Would He be God, if He would be created by someone more supreme? No. So, I am glad my God is NR.1 in all things. And even if I don’t understand many facts about Him, still, I am glad that I don’t understand some things about Him… Or many things.. This really makes Him being God! Otherwise, what a God is That, Who can be totally comprehented by a limited mind. Still, He encourages us to know Him. This sharpens our minds, our personalities, our lives.

For sure there is an opportunity to get driven by your feelings and get depressed.

But…

There is always another reality deserving to be paid attention to…

The reality of God…

It”s an effort to let the words “Your blessings are on me over and over again” to sweep away your heavy thoughts about the external environments, but it deserves. Why? Because changes are here, in the air. Just don’t lose them! Don’t let the pain limit your ability to see God’s blessings on you!

A cake from God

When we ask God to do something in our lives, it is like giving Him our requests’s parts as ingrediends for a cake, He suppose to use to cook it. Then He for sure makes a cake.Sometimes we want specific cake from Him. And we get it. Sometimes He says: “I will definetely make a cake for you, but let me surprise you. Let me cook something, what you haven’t tasted yet. Please, trust me, that you will get a pleasure from what you will get”. And here is our choise: to trust God that He will cook a cake, we never tasted or to insist to get our regular pie. I learn to choose to let God be the best cooker for me. Still learn…

But suddenly the road brought me to nowhere, to wilderness.

At that place I was tempted to think that my need will never be met.

But, in the middle of pain and disappointment something in me still was hoping that the need can be met. Although the heavy feelings were stopping me from believing that. The only thing I could do by then is to stop and think that I need to go other direction, keeping hoping that what I feel will go away at some moment.

The good news is that  I really started to feel my needs againd.  The  understanding of what I need , what I want started to appear in my numb heart. And I started to dream again that my need will be met one day.

Now I get healing step by step and I am more conscious about my inner life, about the fact, that I can see specifically what my heart really wants. This is amazing!

Blaming myself for the wrong road? Yes, it’s a temptation. But the wonderful part is that there is more and more hope that I will be stronger in life  and will not lead my desires drive away my discernment. Still, such a difficult task to accomplish…

Everybody has his own weak areas… This is one of mine…Hope you can learn from me not to rush in front of opportunities.
